Hi,
Thank you for looking at my record collection. I've been listening to music for most of my life and started buying LP's and 45's in my teens. Now in my 50's I have around 4000 items in my collection. Whilst classical music and jazz form the backbone, my listening covers most genres and as I get older, it only gets broader, this being helped along by my three adult children.
I embraced CD early on although I do not have any format preference - it's the music that matters. For the same reasons the reproduction system need not be audiophile in quality. However, I would recommend the best replay system you can afford even if this means fewer CD's/LP's. The sheer pleasure of listening to your favorite music in greater sonic splendor will far outweigh the fact that you have less music in your collection.
Happy browsing!
