Racks and Tags Publisher is a small program that scans the music collection on your hard drive, builds a catalog of it, and uploads the catalog to your Racks and Tags account. It is fully automatic and requires no manual input. When you purchase and add new albums, Racks and Tags Publisher will detect the changes and update your online collection as well, so that the new albums will immediately pop up in your profile and in the feeds of your friends.
If your music collection is not in perfect order, Racks and Tags Publisher will do some magic to infer album metadata from song and folder names. Then, you can browse the accurate and complete catalog of your music collection when you are away from home, see who buys and rates same albums as you, share your music tastes, and find new friends.
You can learn more about Racks and Tags from an introduction page and privacy policy.
You can catalog ONE THOUSAND music albums for free - that's roughly 14 square feet of CD racks, or 6 weeks of continuous playback! After that, we require a small yearly fee. Some of the advanced features may be available to paid members only.
Racks and Tags Publisher supports a variety of formats, including FLAC, APE (Monkey's Audio), MP3, Windows Media, Apple iTunes, OGG Vorbis.
Absolutely not! We hate it as much as you do.
Music collection publishing functionality is already included in OrangeCD Suite. You don't need to download this software in addition to OrangeCD Suite. To publish your collection from OrangeCD, use menu command Tools - Publish on Racks and Tags.
Import from third party music cataloging software is not yet available. We are working on import from Music Collector and Music Label 2007. If you are using a different software, please make sure to mention it to us.
